The Gulf Hotel Bahrain has been voted ‘Bahrain’s Leading Hotel’ at the World Travel Awards, one of the most comprehensive travel trade polls of its kind.

The gala ceremony was held in the Turks and Caicos islands and attended by over 350 travel executives.
The World Travel Awards celebrate excellence in the global tourism industry and a total of 167,000 industry professionals — including 110,000 travel agents in more than 140 countries — vote for their leading travel destinations, airlines, hotels and companies around the world.
The awards have recently been hailed as the “travel industry’s equivalent to the Oscars”, by the Wall Street Journal .
“Due to significant investment, the Middle East is spearheading the globe when it comes to luxury travel, good service and great tourism products. Their offerings are setting the benchmark for the industry worldwide,” said Graham Cooke, president of the World Travel Awards.
“The Gulf Hotel Bahrain was the first five-star hotel to be built on the island and over the years it has always maintained a reputation for excellent friendly service, luxury accommodation and outstanding food and beverage facilities,” said general manager Stuart Chase.
“It is always particularly rewarding when your efforts are recognised by your peers within your own industry and the whole team at the Gulf Hotel are extremely proud to receive this prestigious international award,” he said.
