Benefit dance
The Ancop Gawad Kalinga Bahrain (Ancop GK) and the Phillipine Embassy will hold a benefit dance to raise funds for the Gwad Kalinga Bahrain Village currently under construction in South Cotabato Mindanao, Phillipines.

The dance show, Salsa Latino — Noche Encantada, is scheduled to be held at the Golden Tulip Hotel grand ballroom on November 3. For more information, contact Marie on 39827096, Alex on 36705956, Roger on 36661805 or Julie on 17-310541.

Aston at Dilmun
The Dilmun Club will be hosting a performance by British singer Tony Aston, a sound-alike and look-alike of Frank Sinatra, on November 1. Tickets are BD10 for members and BD15 for guests, which include buffet dinner and beverages.

Miss Philippines
The Filipino Club is set to host the annual Miss Philippines Bahrain on December 1 at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Manama. Prior to this, a talent competition will be held on November 10 at the Baan Saeng Thai Restaurant in Adliya.

Folk dance contest
The Indian Ladies Association’s (ILA) will hold a Folk Dance Contest for dancers from all communities next month. The preliminary rounds where finalists will perform before judges is set for October 26 at the Heritage Village. Bahrain National Museum, on November 24. Entry forms will be available from October 10 and last date for registering is October 15. The Indian Ladies Association is also organising an All Ladies Ramadan Nite for women above the age of 18. The event will be held at the Baan Saeng Thai Restaurant in Adliya on October 15. 

Fall craft fair
The American Women’s Association’s 2006 Fall Craft Fair is scheduled to be held on November 25 at the Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel’s Grand Ambassador Suite, Manama. For table bookings, contact event co-chairwoman Nagda Elghandakly on 39682357 and association president and event co-chairwoman Betty Neimann on 17-754667. Deadline for reserving a table is November 13. The event will be open for public from 10am to 2pm. Entrance fee is 500 fils per person and the proceeds will go to AWA’s community service projects.

Halloween party
The Dilmun Club will be hosting a children’s Halloween Party on October 28. It will be held from 3.30pm to 5.30pm and tickets are BD3 per child. For more information, contact the club on 17-690926.
