Magic is the theme of the Chaine des Rotisseurs dinner at the InterContinental Regency Bahrain on Thursday, March 15.
Waiters in top hats, holding magic wands, will be garbed in Harry Houdini-lik! e apparel in the Versailles restaurant which will resemble a magician’s den, according to Executive Chef Max Grenard, the evening’s culinary conjurer.
The six-course dinner will also concentrate on prestidigitation effects, with a hidden first course and a dessert that will, poof!, give off a cloud of smoke.
“Through the theme,” said Chef Grenard, “we intend to show how, seemingly magically,! we transform the ordinary into quite extraordinary gastronomic creations.”
Before the dinner, 11 candidates will be inducted into the chaine’s Bahrain chapter while six members are to be promoted in rank. The event is organised for chaine members and their guests.
