The Ithmaar Group Yalla Bahrain! F1 Zone has been pulling in enormous numbers of Formula One-hungry race fans at the Al Aali Shopping Complex – and is set to bring the sport closer to fans than ever before it closes on Saturday.
The cultural and community events are creating a buzz around the country as the biggest race of the year draws closer; the 2007 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix on April 13-15. The free to attend event kicked off last Thursday evening with the eagerly-awaited unveiling of the giant ‘F1 in Colour’ masterpiece. Many of the amateur artists who contributed to the project, which depicts a celebratory collage of images reflecting Formula One and Bahrain, were present to see the completed masterpiece together with key dignitaries including Capital Governor Shaikh Hamood bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and key members of the Bahrain International Circuit management led by chairman, Talal Al Zain. The giant image now forms the centerpiece of the interactive extravaganza taking place at the shopping complex. Among the other attractions to be found are: • Main Stage with Toyota Formula One car • Mega screen and plasmas with motor sport footage and live link to the event • Scalextric slot car Racing – four-lane raceway • Simulator Challenge • Red Bull Simulator • Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix Photo Exhibition • Memorabilia Exhibition • Table Football • Vending Stands • Make-up Event • Kids’ Entertainment • Pit Stop Challenge • Chevrolet Lumina V8 race car • Caterham race car • Quad Bike Also available for the female fans will be a unique ‘fashion formula’ on the 23rd March. An expert team will guide the ladies in what to wear to the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix with a special make up demonstration. A top make up artist will show three looks to make sure that whatever personality you are there is a look for you to grab the Formula One attention!
