A Bahrain-based information, communications and telecommunications (ICT) company set up just five years ago has emerged as one of the region’s dominant players, with plans to expand into Africa.
Business Communication Services W.W.L (BCS) - with headquarters on the 8th Floor of Bahrain’s Gajria Towers - is responsible for managing ICT operations at the Formula 1 race track, already has operations in Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, as well as the United States.
Set up in 2002 by chairman and CEO, Fred Donnelly and president and CTO Anthony Medlicott, the company has quickly risen to the top of the ICT arena in the Middle East.
“We are, perhaps, the only company that can mix and match offerings from several principals to satisfy diverse client requirements,” claimed Mr Donnelly.
The company has recently secured a host of lucrative contracts. Among the most impressive are the $1.4 million USD contract with GD-IT and the prestigious MOI Project for Wireless Networks valued at $1.06 million USD.
BCS also provides ICT infrastructure for the National Guard, Bahrain, and provides support for a range of banks, ministries and commercial organisations.

BCS recently underwent a massive restructuring exercise to cope with the demands of its growing business and to support its ambitious expansion plans.
