The Gulf Hotel’s 240-bedroom Tower Block will be completely refurbished as a modern new external facia is unveiled alongside enlarged, renovated rooms which aim to bring the hotel in line with the latest standards in the hospitality industry.

Construction work will commence this week and will be completed by November. The Al Waha  café restaurant, the hotel’s 24-hours dining restaurant will have a complete new look with modern décor, stunning murals, a state-of –the-art buffet display and an open kitchen with several ‘live’ cooking stations.
The Palace and Al Andalus Lounge will also sport a bright new look with lively vibrant carpets and rugs, and will include enlarged windows and new furnishings. The all new Platinum Lounge, on the 13th floor of the Tower Block, will offer Executive Floor guests an unparalleled modern lounge, with stunning views over the city.
And they will be able to reach it in a new dedicated elevator being built and installed just for executive level guests.
This exclusive area will feature a dining room lounge, meeting room, complimentary bar, internet stations and flat screen TVs.
A new 12-storey car park and offices, adjacent to the Gulf Executive Residence will create eight floors of parking with 6,000 additional parking bays, and four floors of offices, offering 6,400 m2 of office spaces.
The brand new Typhoon Bar, located under the Royal Thai Restaurant, will offer relaxing indoor and outdoor seating where guests can enjoy cocktails overlooking the hotel’s lush gardens and streams. With nightly entertainment, it promises to be a highly-popular social venue, and opens this month.
