Hi friends,
The Cricket World Cup is finally over. While the Australians are celebrating their victory, all other teams are busy searching for suitable excuses.

For India and Pakistan, it was the worst World Cup performance ever. Although no sane person would have put their money on them, nobody could have made a guess about their exit at the preliminary stage.
To me, both these teams were losers even before the tournament started. The differences amongst the players, criticism on coaches and body language of the players were just a few indicators of their chances in the World Cup. England and West Indies were also bruised for not making it to the semi-finals. 
Almost all the cricket lovers, whom I talked to, wanted Australia to lose the final. They agreed that Australia were the better team but did not like them to win.
We’ll have to wait for the next World Cup to see if any team can  dethrone Australia.
