The third annual “Captain’s Quaich” tournament staged at Riffa Golf Club was won by the Club’s 2006 Captain for the second consecutive year. Barry Hobday achieved a net score of 73 while current captain Peter Loubser came second with net 77.

The event was introduced in 2005 by Riffa’s general manager Michael Braidwood, and all past and present club captains are invited to participate.
Quaich is the Gaelic word for a shallow, two-handled bowl, traditionally used for drinking from. They are now used as prizes or gifts and are usually made from silver or pewter.
