Mohammed Al Sayed was the overall winner of a members’ medal competition at Riffa Golf Club with a net score of 66.

Ali Sager Al Noaimi came second in the 0 – 12 handicap section with a net 69 while his brother Diab Sager Al Noaimi came third with net 70 on count back.
Liu Zhiyong won the 13 – 36 handicap section with net 67 and Murtuz Zamanly came a close second on net 68. Ronny Lidman was third with net 71 while Paul Chader won a prize for coming nearest to the pin on the 8th hole. The competition was over subscribed with over 80 players taking part. Meanwhile, club captain Peter Loubser was the overall winner of a 50-Hole Challenge at the club when he achieved the best overall score of 103. Guest Lee Kirk achieved the best eclectic score of 53 and Jan Arends was awarded the prize for losing the most golf balls (18!) during the competition. Twenty members and their guests took part in the marathon event which teed off at 6.30am on Friday and concluded at around 9pm that night.
