Gulf Weekly Searching for the perfect beach wear

NOW that your skin is super soft after following last week’s body brushing techniques, it’s time to find the perfect bikini and beach wear to compliment your shape.

No matter what your body hang-up is, there are many different styles of bikinis and bathing costumes to enhance your physique as well as sarongs and shorts to accessorize your look.
It seems these days many a celebrity is designing their own range of clothing. As I mentioned some months back Kate Moss now has a range in Top Shop store and you can also buy outfits at H&M stores designed by Madonna. Kylie Minogue recently launched a line of beachwear for H&M too, so whilst I was recently in England I thought I would go and take a look.
I loved the small selection she has designed – the shades vary from turquoise to metallic silvers and aquamarine colours all very tropic and vibrant with stunning embroided tunics to also choose from. You maybe pleased to know that 10 per cent of the purchase price goes towards Water Aid projects in Africa.
Here are a few hints to make choosing a bikini or one-piece bathing costume a less time consuming affair:
Short legs: Look for bikini bottoms that tie at the side - this look elongates your legs.
Long legs: Choose bikini bottoms that are designed like shorts and hot pants as these make legs seem shorter.
Big bottom: Again try bottoms that look like hot pants/shorts as these minimize larger behinds.
Large chest: Look for vest tops and bikini tops with underwire that also have a halter neck tie.
Small chest: To enhance your assets look for padded bra-style bikinis.
Fashionable colours at the moment for bikinis and one-piece items seem to be bright neon colours as well as metallic – silver and gold – also remember to choose colours that enhance your skin tone and colouring.
Apart from one-piece bathing suits being very popular at the moment and brightly coloured sarongs, I love bandeau bikini tops as you don’t get any unsightly strap marks - check out the Julien Macdonald range at Debenhams.
For jewellery items to wear around the beach think anything with a turquoise stone to shells attached. I have seen these items beautifully adorned on hoop earrings to flip flops. Marks&Spencers and Topshop have some lovely layered wooden necklaces with shells at reasonable prices.
Basket-effect bags are great to carry all your sun factors, books and magazines in and don’t forget to cover your head in a bright colourful bandana or a big straw floppy hat. Protect your eyes with big sunglasses … and now its time to enjoy a lovely day by the pool!
Luxury Indulge: Kerastase Soleil Voile Protector Spray
        Vs
Bargain Purchase: Aussie miracle hair insurance leave-in conditioner
Verdict: Aussie miracle spray protects the hair more against natural everyday wear and tear whereas, Kerastase Soliel Voile spray is excellent for protecting your hair against the harmful UV rays, also sea water and chlorine found in swimming pools. This product is a good investment to keep your hair in great condition. I will be using it often for days in the Bahrain heat.
