Gulf Cellar and Energade have announced that they will sponsor a six-week long series of night golf competitions at Riffa Golf Club this summer, each of which will be held in a different format.
Week one’s match was held in the Texas Scramble format and was narrowly won by the husband and wife pairings of Peter and Sara Thompson and Arantza Lataillade and her husband Joe Gamble with a net score of 29.95. A team comprised of Paul Bicknell, John Ennis, Shaun Doughty and Michael Pedersen achieved second place with net 30.30.
“This is the fourth year in a row that Gulf Cellar has sponsored our summer night golf series,” explained Riffa’s director of golf, Phil Jones. “It has always proved extremely popular with our members and their guests and this year is no exception – places in the first week’s competition were filled within five hours of emailing the entry form out to our members!”
“The Energade Summer Series matches will be held every Wednesday evening and we will once again be providing some excellent prizes for the winners,” said Gulf Cellar’s marketing & events manager, Daniel Thain.
