One of Bahrain’s brightest young fashion designers, Shaikha Noor Al Khalifa, held her second fashion show at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel and Spa’s Al Noor ballroom.
At just 21, the first year fashion design student has already created a unique style and delighted guests by offering a sneak preview of what is to come. She has been working on the collection for more than a year.
She said: “I started this small collection so people will know what my work will consist of when I’m done studying.
“I’ve been drawing constantly and designing in my free time in between college work. I created 35 outfits for the show.
“They are made from similar materials and the prevailing theme has been orange and red. I also wanted the collection to be suitable for all ages and for people from all over the world.”
Shaikha Noor said she is inspired by fashion house Dolce & Gabbana, and the label Juicy Couture, but she added: “My biggest inspiration is my grandfather who gave me the courage and the support to make it here tonight.”
