Womanspeak is a female-to-male dictionary, aimed at enlightening the male population on what a woman means when she says…

‘What are you doing tonight’
Truth is she doesn’t give a damn what you’re really up to so telling her that you’re polishing your golf clubs isn’t going to earn you any brownie points.
When she asks you what you’re doing tonight, it means she’s wants to make plans to see you but it’s up to you to ask her.
Of course, you might rather spend the night boiling yourself in a vat of scalding oil than spend time with her – in which case the golf club thing is great, as blowing her off for a bottle of polish and a few sticks of metal will pretty much guarantee you won’t hear from her again.
But if you actually like the girl then this is the time to drop any plans you might have to alphabetise your CD collection and tell her you were actually just planning on ringing her and asking if she’d like to come round for dinner … Oh and if you can’t cook, don’t even try. A tasty take-away will do – it’s you she wants to see.
