Bahrain witnessed the launch of another new car brand Chery from Motor City, a division of E K Kanoo group, at a glittering ceremony in the Seef Mall at the weekend.

The two-day event was filled with entertainment, games, magic shows, quizzes, and competitions.
Participants got a chance to spin the ‘wheel-of-fortune’ every hour to win cash prizes and gifts.
Lucky Mrs Derhana, scooped a BD500 prize on the first day and said: “It was a real surprise!”
Mustafa Taher, Masoud Ateyaullah and Ali Ebrahim, the winners of cash prizes on the second day, shared her excitement. Mr Ebrahim said:  “I was just out for my weekend with my friends and saw the launch of Chery at the Seef Mall extension and came to check what it was all about.”
Chery promises drivers a feature-packed and affordably-priced car. Two new models have been introduced – The Eastar, a large sedan and Tiggo, an SUV.
The Eastar comes in three different variants with an option on 2.0L and 2.4L engines.
Tiggo, boasts a 2.4L engine 127hp and comes with standard driver and front passenger airbags, ABS, leather upholstery, power operated sunroof, 16” Aluminum alloy wheels, leather and wood steering wheel cover and auto tiptronic transmission.
