Syed Junaid Alam (SJA) this week released its new fragrance Banafsaj at the Al Areen’s Banyan Tree Desert Spa and Resort, writes Asma Salman.
Banafsaj is a delightful flowery fragrance that has a blend of rose and jasmine with notes of amber and musk. Atif Ikram, brand manager at SJA, said at the launch: “Our perfumes are a whole concept and we take between two to four months to launch a single fragrance. Banafsaj is a culmination of unique aromatic scent and emerging trend in the fragrance business.” SJA is launching a whole range of fragrances in the month of Ramadan to cater to its wide customer base from Oudh-based smells for its Arabic clients to more French-styled scents for its Western customers. Asma’s verdict on Banafsaj: It’s very fresh and feminine and so affordable. 100ml of Banafsaj in a beautiful elongated spray bottle costs BD10.
