Hi friends, Grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. It is human nature that we are never content with what we get from life.
When we don’t have wealth, we work hard to earn it. When we become rich, we start thinking that people give us respect because of our wealth. When others don’t recognise us, we strive to become famous. After that, we realise that our privacy is gone and we are not at liberty to do whatever we enjoy. When we don’t have family, we long for it. But when we have it, we are fed up with the additional responsibilities. The demands from family members keep on increasing and this puts lots of strain on us. Some people think that discontentment is a source of inspiration and motivation. We endeavor for those things which we don’t have. Contentment makes us obtuse like stagnant water. We lose the thrill in life. However, I believe that there is no limit to human desires. It is better not to spoil the pleasure of enjoying what we have. There is no use of becoming rich and famous at the cost of our peace of mind and happiness. Maria
