ONE of Bahrain’s favourite schools – and arguably its best known around the world – has accepted its final intake of pupils.

Children will line up outside the classroom door and the school bell will ring for the last time in Awali at the end of this term after more than seven long decades of educating pupils on the premises.
The building has served the Bapco community for 61 years and St Christopher’s School’s youngest pupils for almost 10.
In January the children and staff will relocate to St Christopher’s newly-built Saar campus.
The relocation will mark the end of an era but the memories of precious moments of growing up in the kingdom will live on forever ... and a few have been shared today within the pages of GulfWeekly.
