Wednesday (October 24) • The Pakistan Embassy brings Pakistani pop, bhangra and folk singer Abrar ul Haq to take centre stage at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre in Sanabis as part of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) festival. Show begins at 5pm. Entry is free. Visitors have to bring along their CPR cards.

 

• St. Christopher’s Senior School in Isa Town will host a two-day programme of educational workshops for their students as well as an evening performance of four-time US National Poetry Slam champion Taylor Mali. Thursday (October 25)

• The Royal Society of St George will host its annual Trafalgar Day Ball at the Grand Ambassador Suite in the Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel Residence and Spa in Manama. Entertainment will be provided by the Bahrain Police Band’s Chamber Orchestra who will play during dinner. A Latin Jazz Ensemble will be set including renditions of salsa, tango and samba for dance enthusiasts. Radio Bahrain DJ and GulfWeekly columnist Krazy Kevin also features. • Victor Michael will perform at the British Club’s Variety Autumn Ball. The evening will also feature comedian Andy Leach and singer Lee-Ann James. Compere and DJ for the event will be Ian Lee. • Culture club Elham holds a session at The Gallery at TAIB Tower, Diplomatic Area. Actors Simone Hunter and Gavin Baldwin will perform an act from Alan Ayckbourn’s popular play ‘Relatively Speaking’ about love, marriage and mistaken identities. • The American Women’s Association’s 29th annual fall craft fair, themed ‘Holiday Festival’ takes place on Saturday in the Palm Hall of the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) between 1pm-6pm.

The fair will offer festive decorations that include hand-painted ornaments, festive home décor, angels, wreaths and candle pots, painted glass, porcelain items, original paintings, charity greeting cards, prints, homemade pastries, silk paintings, clothes, toys and more. The AWA Bake Shoppe will provide with cakes and sweets.

Entry fee is 500fils with free entry for children under five.
