THE_Manama Singers and Bahrain Concert Sinfonia will be performing this Friday at the Gulf International Convention Centre.

Some of the most exquisite and evocative French classical music ever written by composers Gabriel FaurŽ and Camille Saint Sa‘ns will be featured by the choir and orchestra.

Under the musical direction and baton of Alistair Auld, the ensemble will come together to fill the halls of the stylish Gulf International Convention Centre with music and song par excellence.

The choir of over 100 singers from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and all over the Gulf region will sing FaurŽ's melodic Cantique de Jean Racine, followed by the composer's moving Requiem. German soprano Imme Bodammer will make her Bahrain debut on the night with the evocative sounds of FaurŽ's Pie Jesu an exquisite movement from the Requiem.

Singer's chairman Nathan Tripp will sing the baritone solos in the Offertorium and Libera Me movements.

This concert will be the first time in recent years that a large-scale choral work has featured exclusively choir members as soloists.

The Bahrain Concert Sinfonia, will perform the Saint Sa‘ns Symphony No.3 The Organ joined by British organist Andrew Parnell, who has travelled from the UK for the event.
