Budding young golfers have recently been enjoying a series of lessons delivered by Riffa Golf Club's PGA professionals.
Due to the temporary closure of the golf course while construction of a new Colin Montgomerie-designed course is underway, the lessons have been taking place amid the scenic views of the Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel & Spa.
"Our junior Tiny Tigers programme has been going from strength to strength over recent years," explained head professional Scott McCaw.
"It seemed a shame to stop the series of programmes while our golf academy is being rebuilt and the management of the Ritz-Carlton has very kindly allowed us to use their premises in the interim."
Children participating in the current "Riffa on the Road" course are enjoying lessons which take place at a different location within the resort each week from the croquet lawn to the beach to the picturesque island.
They are being tutored using the new SNAG (Start New At Golf) training system which incorporates large Velcro soft golf balls and specially designed golf clubs and targets.
The eight week programme gives a group of youngsters a thorough introduction to the sport and a further series of classes are planned for the New Year, again to be held at the Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel & Spa.
