Chris Beardshaw has been appointed as "Riffa Views International Ambassador, Landscape and Gardens".
The world-renowned horticulturalist and landscape designer is the award-winning garden designer and presenter of the BBC's Flying Gardener television programme.
Mr Beardshaw said: "For many people, this part of the world and specifically Bahrain is where we very often think of the Garden of Eden emerging ... and therefore the very first notion of gardening.
"Riffa Views is developing very distinct community landscapes and I wish to make sure each one is unique."
Mr Beardshaw joins tennis great Boris Becker and golf legend Colin Montgomerie as a Signature Ambassador of Riffa Views.
He is also in Bahrain for his active role as Riffa Views' Ambassador for the Riffa Views Bahrain International Garden Show (RVBIGS) to be held in February 2008.
He will also be judging "The Riffa Views Eden Challenge" competition which is the environmental initiative that involves children from six to 18 years from which the winning entries will be displayed at the RVBIGS 2008.
Richard Browning, Riffa Views' CEO, said: "We are proud to welcome Chris to the project and we are looking forward to seeing his creative input and knowledge into the landscaping of Riffa Views.
"The environment is an essential element of our lives and this is why we are ensuring our residents will enjoy the most serene, beautiful and luxurious environment."
