After announcing the Motor Sport Business Forum Middle East on April 1 and 2 next year, key representatives from Bahrain will be heading to Monaco this week to attend the prestigious original Motor Sport Business Forum.

These events are hugely important in the multi-million dinar world of Formula One racing and are often the centre of intense wheeling and dealing as high-profile sponsorship deals are sparked off or concluded.

The fact that Bahrain and the Middle East has been given the platform to host such a prestigious event speaks loudly of the kingdom's standing in the world of motorsport as GulfWeekly understands many other countries were vying to stage the event.

The Bahrain organisation team will be taking a stand in the exhibition centre during the Monaco Forum tonight and tomorrow at Le Meridien to provide potential delegates and sponsors with information.

The upcoming Middle Eastern event will be hosted at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) and chairman Talal Al Zain and CEO Martin Whitaker will be joining Simon Berger, founder of the Motor Sport Business Forum in Monaco.

Berger explained: "The whole point of the Forum is to introduce people to new opportunities within the motorsport and automotive industry - that's exactly what the Motor Sport Business Forum Middle East will aim to achieve.

"At Monaco many potential sponsors, delegates and speakers will be present so the stand for the Motor Sport Business Forum Middle East is crucial here."

The organisers of the Middle East Forum will be in attendance in Monaco to discuss further the range of opportunities available for interested delegates. In addition to this, the Bahrain International Circuit, will also be hosting a reception tonight at Le Meridien where Whitaker will be making a special announcement regarding activities that will be taking place prior to the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2008.

"We are delighted to be hosting a reception on the first night of the Forum, where I look forward to sharing the BIC's news and developments in the buildup to our 2008 F1 Grand Prix ... one of which is the Motor Sport Business Forum Middle East."

In addition the stunning new website for the event is now live and has already brought fantastic results with enquiries from media, delegates and potential sponsors. Smart Arts, the online design and marketing agency responsible for the website design, have been working with the Motor Sport Business Forum since its first launch in Monaco in 2005 and is well accustomed to the style and prestige of the event.

The website showcases the Motor Sport Business Forum Middle East's new logo 'The Face', which was specifically designed for the new Forum in support of the slogan, "The Face of Motor Sport Business in the Middle East".

The Bahrain International Circuit was awarded the highest accolade by the V8 Supercars Championship during Monday night's end of season V8 Supercars Championship Awards ceremony in Melbourne, Australia.

During the ceremony BIC's running of the Desert 400 race in November was recognised as the Best Event of the Year for the 2007 Championship.
