High standard of Bahrain industry hailed

A top Saudi official praised the high standards of the petrochemical industry in Bahrain during his visit to Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) stand at the second Annual Conference of the Gulf Petrochemical and Chemical Association, which was held in Dubai.

Mohamed bin Hamad Al Madhi, deputy chairman and chief executive of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic) and GPCA board chairman was welcomed by GPIC managing director Yousuf bin Abdul Rahman Al Zamil, GPIC general manager and GPCA board member Abdul Rahman Jawahery, and members of the company's executive management.

Mr Al Madhi said he was impressed by the high standards of the petrochemical industry in the kingdom and praised the company's regional and international achievements considering them as a model example of joint Gulf co-operation for the realisations and the hopes and aspirations of the GCC political leaderships.

He also congratulated GPIC for recently winning the International Award of Excellence in health and safety from the Royal Society for Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) that was a culmination of the sincere efforts made by the company's employees for development of the various activities and events of the company. He expressed his best wishes for further growth and progress for the company.
