Artist Mohammad Omer Khalil's solo exhibition at the Albareh gallery

Albareh Art Gallery in Adliya is showcasing the paintings of renowned international artist Mohammad Omer Khalil in a solo exhibition. Khalil's work has been influenced by his travels and his life in New York where he has been residing since the late sixties.

In his paintings Khalil creates a unique style, like a mosaic, from symbols that include postage stamps, textiles, photography, crushed cans and other little objects.

He has also participated in numerous exhibitions in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Asia and the Americas. His work is in the collection of several public and private collections including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; Bibliotheque National, Paris, Grenoble Museum, Grenoble, France, Jordanian National Museum, Amman, Jordan, Brooklyn Museum of Art, New York; Museum of Modern Art, Baghdad, Iraq. His work has also been auctioned this year at top auction houses Christies and Sotheby's.
