Dubai One have given viewers yet another reason to stay home with the US drama Medium which kicked off on Christmas Day at 1.30pm.
Medium is a chilling drama series inspired by the real-life story of research medium Allison DuBois. Played by Emmy award-winner Patricia Arquette (Stigmata, True Romance), Allison is a young wife and mother who, since childhood, has been struggling to make sense of her dreams and visions of dead people.
As a part-time consultant to the District Attorney's office, Allison (Arquette) uses her psychic abilities, talking to dead people as well as seeing the future in her dreams, to solve violent and horrifying crimes that have remained mysteries to her boss D.A. Devalos (Miguel Sandoval, 'The Division') and others within the criminal justice system.
Jake Weber ('Meet Joe Black') stars as Allison's supportive husband Joe, and Sofia Vassilieva ('Eloise at the Plaza') and Maria Lark star as Ariel and Bridget, the two eldest Dubois children. David Cubitt ('10.5') plays Detective Lee Scanlon, while Madison Carabello appears as the youngest daughter, Marie Dubois.
Arquette received an Emmy in the 'Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series' category after the telecast of the initial 16 episodes of this critically-acclaimed series in the United States.
