¥ The Bahrain National Museum is showcasing the works of nearly 50 Bahraini artists and sculptors. This is the 34th year of the exhibition that is categorised into sculpture, installations and paintings displaying abstract and semi abstract artworks as well as contemporary sculptures. ¥ 'Females in the Media' forum will be held at the Movenpick Hotel in Muharraq today. The two-day event that opened yesterday, will feature workshops. An exhibition is also being held which will showcase the achievements of Bahraini women in the media. ¥ Albareh Art Gallery in Adliya is showcasing paintings of artist Mohammad Omer Khalil in a solo exhibition. Khalil's work has been influenced by his travels and his life in New York. ¥ The Bahrain Women's Society is holding a series of workshops and programmes, daily this month, to raise awareness on protecting children and teenagers from abuse. Topics like 'How can you detect abusive relationships?' and 'The relationship between domestic violence and child abuse' will be discussed. The workshop is open for all school children.
