IT'S a trio of fun films this afternoon on Super Movies, kicking off with The Pink Panter at 3pm.

When France's football coach is murdered by a poisoned dart and his giant 'Pink Panther' diamond ring is stolen, police Chief Inspector Dreyfus (Kevin Kline) puts the forces worst Inspector, Jacques Clouseau (Steve Martin), on the case, with the intent of diverting the press while his best police men get the job done. When Clouseau is nominated for France's highest honour, Dreyfus tries to knock him down a peg by taking him off the case, not realising that Clouseau and his side-kick, Gilbert Ponton (Jean Reno) have already solved the case. Laugh out loud funny!

SUGAR follows on from The Pink Panther at 5pm.

Jessica Alba stars as Honey, a strong-minded hip-hop teacher who dreams of making it big as a video music choreographer. Her dream starts to come true when video director, Michael Ellis, casts her in a video and she is encouraged to make the transition from dancer to choreographer. It soon goes wrong when Michael threatens to ruin her if she doesn't sleep with him and Honey has to fight with all her might to make it in the business despite his best efforts to stop her. A little cheesy but well worth watching for anyone with a passion for dance.

THE_trio is rounded off with House of Flying Daggers at 7pm.

During the reign of China's Tang dynasty, a secret army of warriors, The Flying daggers, rises up to oppose the government. When police officer Jin is sent by his superior, Leo, to investigate a blind young dancer, Mei, with ties to the secret organisation, he arrests her, only to break her free again in a plot to gain her trust and get her to lead him to the organisation's leaders. When both officers fall in love with the dancer, tragedy is close at hand. Masterfully directed and choreographed, House Flying Daggers is very watchable indeed.
