Today's teenagers are as sharp as ever. Apparently the latest craze in Bahrain is to drive out into the desert with friends in the evening and play ...charades!
One worried mum was concerned about the late nights her son was spending in Sakhir and quizzed him about it.
"Don't worry about the obvious", he urged, "we play this great game where we each take turns presenting our version of the day's news in a foreign accent. It's great fun."
Now that's thinking on your feet!
The Whisperer recently bumped into racing driver Hamad Al Fardan and what a delightful young man he is and what an excellent ambassador for Bahrain. It was fascinating to find out how he keeps his razor sharp reflexes on the track. A trainer randomly throws small balls in his direction throughout the day and he must catch each one or face a painful exercise penalty.
The Whisperer has learned GulfWeekly has a new VIP reader who was so thrilled by recent photos published in the kingdom's number one newspaper that he ordered copies of each one. I cannot mention names but should he wish to pop in and meet the staff the red carpet is ready!
