PLANS are taking shape to ensure this year's Ithmaar Group 'Yalla Bahrain!' festivities surrounding the 2008 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix encapsulate the 'Our Race' theme.
The unique six week programme of cultural crackers will ensure the whole community gets wrapped up in the excitement of the event which helps put the kingdom on the world's sporting and tourism map.
Once more under the tutelage of Bahrain's leading artist Abbas Al Mosawi the island's painters will be displaying their talents in a stroke of artistic ingenuity.
Martin Whittaker, chief executive officer of the Bahrain International Circuit, told GulfWeekly: "It brings the spirit of F1 to the rest of the country - it is very much a community activity that we very much enjoy."
Race organisers will also be working alongside the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry to ensure people working in the kingdom's malls, airport services and immigration controls are all involved in welcoming the thousands of visitors with the clear message of how proud the land is of "Our Race".
