Twinjet, the UK's longest established private jet operator, is expanding its operations to the Middle East.
The luxury jet company, headquartered at Luton Airport, is to open a base in Bahrain, where it will initially operate a Challenger 604. It is currently recruiting flight and cabin crew.
Twinjet chief executive Keith McMann said: "The Middle East is a key market for us and the region's continuing growth makes an on-the-ground presence from Twinjet a sensible and attractive proposition.
"The benefits of private jet travel are probably recognised more widely in the Middle East than any other region, and we are fortunate that our reputation for professionalism and excellent service is also well-known and much appreciated.
"We hope to further expand our business in the region in the near future."
The Twinjet operation will initially focus on the requirements of a private client, beginning operations with the Challenger 604, registration VP-CNK, from May 1.
Established in 1982, the company says it is "the private jet operator of choice for Royal families, heads of state, and world-renowned performers from the worlds of sport and entertainment" adding that twinjet customers value its "unrivalled standards" of personalised service, safety, security, flexibility, discretion and luxury.
It is the only UK private jet operator to hold the Civil Aviation Authority's 'Type A' licence, meaning it is certified to the same high standards as full service international airlines.
