The South African coastal area of West Cape, is a region of contrast and beauty. Stretching over 400km from south to north, the region boasts magnificent lagoons, numerous small fishing villages, lovely scenic views and vineyards galore.

According to a representative of southafrica-travel.net, any foreigner can buy real estate in South Africa. "Due to the favourable exchange rate, property in South Africa is really affordable. Not to mention that it is such a vibrant and beautiful place to live and raise a family," he explained.

To the west, the region borders the Atlantic Ocean where you will be able to spot a number of whales and dolphins during the months of July and December. In early spring a paradise of white arum lilies sweep the natural folds of hills and gentle breezes move softly through fields of daisies.

The scenic beauty of this solitary coast is complemented by its plentiful sea life, with dishes like mussels, crayfish or line fish pulled from the cold water of the Benguela Current, offering the visitor or resident a rich and unique culinary experience.

The region is also a bird watcher's paradise as bird life is abundant in the region of the Cape.

The property is conveniently situated in the West Cape suburb, Milnerton, and is only 20 minutes away from Cape Town International airport and 10 minutes from Cape Town Waterfront and City Centre.

For some outdoor fun, the beach and Milnerton Golf course is also in close range being only a five minutes walk away.

This stately residence, the Sanctuary Guest House, was built in 1932 and is set over 3,897 square meters of prime real estate. There is a gorgeous stretch of land with plenty of room to roam as you please.

It is currently being run as a licensed guest house and consists of four thatched Cape Dutch styled buildings that consist of 11 spacious bedrooms, 11 well designed bathrooms and beautiful receptions and a dining area.

The main residence boasts many eccentric and unique features such as exposed Oregon beams, thatched roofing, teak doors, polished teak floors and Table Mountain stone fire places.

The lavish guest house has three reception rooms and one large kitchen to set free the chef in you.

The exotic garden consists mostly of indigenous plants and trees and includes a huge swimming pool. Enjoy the uninterrupted views of Table Mountain, Lions Head and Signal Hill from the privacy of your home.

The lady of the lovely guest house told GulfWeekly that now was a prime time to buy. "Due to the upcoming elections, the market is rather slow at the moment which is probably the best time to pounce as the value will begin to increase by the time the 2010 World Cup comes around, which will be held in South Africa. This will definitely be attracting many overseas visitors and property developers in the region. It's excellent value for money," she said.
