Competitors in Gulf Air's Pro Am Tournament on February 26 will get an unique opportunity to view the historic Ryder Cup when it is brought to Bahrain for the duration of the Gulf Air PGA Pro Captain Challenge Tournament.
Legendary eight-time Ryder Cup Captain Bernard Gallacher will be Gulf Air's guest during the tournament and will be guest speaker at a gala dinner which will be held at the conclusion of the event. Gallacher has been given permission by the PGA (Professional Golfers' Association) to bring the Ryder Cup trophy with him from the UK.
The Ryder Cup is held every two years and pits America's top players against Europe's best. It alternates between a venue in the US and a venue in Europe with the 2008 Ryder Cup due to take place at Valhalla Golf Club in Kentucky, US, between September 16-21.
