This year, Volkswagen is unveiling new production models and concept cars.

The starting point of this product offensive began with the world premiere of the Passat CC in Detroit, followed with five more world premieres at the Geneva Motor Show.

At the centrestage was Scirocco, a completely re-developed all-round sports car. Also debuting was the Golf TDI Hybrid, a concept car that consumes just 3.4 litres diesel per 100km.

Representing a technological jump when it comes to natural gas drives was the world premiere of the 150 PS strong Passat Variant TSI EcoFuel. Additionally, Volkswagen presented an extremely fuel-efficient Sharan BlueMotion (6.0 litres fuel consumption) and the all-wheel drive Golf Variant 4Motion.

The Passat CC was also for the first time on European soil. The first generation of the Scirocco was originally presented to a world audience in Geneva 34 years ago.

Now Volkswagen is celebrating the comeback of the legendary two-door car. Thanks to its extended wagon-coupŽ roof, it offers space for four adults, making it the sports car for every day of the year.

The Scirocco is powered by four TDI and TSI engines that are as torque-strong as they are fuel-efficient. They cover a power range from 90 kW / 122 PS to 147 kW / 200 PS. After its world premiere in the US, Volkswagen is now presenting the Passat CC for the first time in Europe.

Volkswagen is also offering the Golf Variant with full-time all-wheel drive. In extreme situations up to 100 per cent of the propulsive force can be transferred to the rear wheels. As a result, the Golf Variant TDI 4Motion can ensure the best possible grip under even the worst road conditions. The 4Motion system is coupled to a fuel-efficient and torque-strong TDI with 77 KW / 105 PS.
