FAMILIES flocked to the Riffa Views Bahrain Rugby Football Club, Saar, for the annual Royal Society of St George's traditional English Family Picnic party.
Activities included entertainment by GulfWeekly columnist and local radio presenter Krazy Kevin, the Dilmun Dixielanders and the Children's Health Academy of Specialised Sports gymnasts. The event also featured refreshments and an outdoor buffet, though guests were allowed to bring their own food.
The Police Public Security band also performed at the event.
The main attraction, however, was the children's Easter Bonnet Parade which attracted scores of imaginative entries.
A prize draw for two three-day tickets for this year's Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix and free visits to Bahrain's big waterpark attraction - Lost Paradise of Dilmun - was also staged.
A string of activities for children, including an Easter egg hunt, magic show, bouncy castle and balloon twister, were included in the ticket price and free bubbles and hot cross buns were given to those who arrived early.
All profits from the event will be given to local charities.
