Wednesday (May 7)¥ 'Double Vue' - an exhibition on urban landscapes will open today at the Centre Culturel Franco Bahreinien - Maison Jamsheer in Muharraq at 8pm. On display will be 40 photographs by award-winning Lebanese-born Canadian artist Camille Zakharia and a catalogue with photographs and text written by scholar and curator Sally Van Gorder. The images reflect Bahrain's modernisation on cultural and social development. ¥ 'Red Bull Lord of The Street' - a break-dance battle will be held at the Seelf Mall parking area from 7pm.

¥ Renowned Iraqi Sculptor Mohammed Ghani is exhibiting some of his new sculptures at at Al Riwaq Gallery in Adliya from 10am to 8pm. Today is the last day.

¥ The British Council will open a photography exhibition titled 'North, South, East and West' to showcase climatic changes at the Bait Al Quran in Manama. On May 16, a seminar will be held by the Bahrain Businessmen's Association on the subject of the Economics of Climate Change.

¥ 'Fashion DJ' Pierre Ravan will appear at LEVEL, located in the Club Seven complex in Mishal Hotel in Manama. Some of the designers he has played for include Paco Rabanne, Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, Thierry Mugler and Jean Paul Gaultier. ¥ Rotaract Manama-Sulmaniya is holding its 13th annual 'Against The Clock' (ATC 2008) event at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir. The fund-raising family carnival involves teams from corporate organisations, universities and schools competing in a range of physical and mental games against the clock. ¥ The WMC Toastmasters will host 'The Last Shade of Grey' at the Gulf Air Club in Salmabad at 7pm. The play, organised by Vani Krishnan, is an adaptation of Shakespeare's tragedy Othello and is written by Suresh Karunakaran. It is set in the early 1930s Arabia - on the verge of the oil boom.

Gathering talents within the club the play explores the idea that Shakespeare's tragic dramas become a mirror in which society can observe and change. A cast of over 15 members will perform in the play that is being jointly directed by members Rekha Utham and K Mohandas. Entry is by invitation only. ¥ The Albareh Art Gallery in Adliya begins its annual calligraphy exhibition which will run until May 21.
