¥ The Young Goans Club will host its annual May Queen contest on May 22 at the Marina Club poolside in Manama. The event is only by invitation and begins at 8.30pm. The contest is open for women of all nationalities aged between 15 and 28. The event will feature a fashion show featuring eight models and entertainment will be provided by cover band Aryan Fame alongside a DJ from Music and Lights.

¥ The Indian Club in Manama is set to host the May Queen Ball 2008 on May 29. Women of all nationalities aged between 15 and 28 can take part. Last date for registration is May 10 and the fee is BD2. All contestants will go through a grooming session to be conducted by show choreographer Shamima Noorani.
