The prestigious London- based capital markets publication, Euromoney, has honoured Ahli United Bank (AUB) with the 'Best Bank in Bahrain 2008' award.
The award marks AUB's fourth major win this year. Earlier this month, AUB was the recipient of AsiaMoney's 'Best Commercial Bank in Bahrain' award. The bank was also named 'Best Bank in the Middle East 2008' and 'Best Bank in Bahrain 2008' by Global Finance magazine for the third consecutive year.
AUB's successive wins at this year's leading banking awards emphasise the bank's impressive growth over the past one year and reinforces its position as a premier banking institution in the Middle East.
"The 'Best Bank in Bahrain 2008' award is acknowledgment of the strength of AUB's core business activities and is indicative of our ability to successfully expand our regional presence year on year. Euromoney, a monthly magazine focusing on international banking and capital markets, awarded AUB the 'Best Bank in Bahrain 2008' award for its "outstanding performance, quality service, innovation and momentum."
The Euromoney Excellence awards are widely considered to be the benchmark for quality and innovation in the global commercial and investment banking industry.
Now in its 17th year, the Euromoney Excellence Awards spans 110 countries and has set the standard for banking and capital market excellence amongst the top ranking financial institutions around the world.
