The dates for the trade mission to the west coast of the United States was announced at the recent American Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain's annual general meeting.
Chamber president Khalid Al Zayani said the trade mission is set for October 6 to 10. It will include visits to Seattle, Washington and San Francisco, California, as well as other major cities.
"The opportunities within the US for Bahrain include high technology, power production, wind generation, desalination, as well as solar and carbon based technology," said Mr Al Zayani.
The trade mission will call upon Microsoft for the purpose of development of skills and products, and Boeing to capitalise on relationships. In addition, educational opportunities for Bahrainis will be established.
Mr Al Zayani also announced the official dates of the 2nd annual US-GCC Investment Forum, which will be held on October 14 and 15. To be held under the patronage Crown Prince Shaikha Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, this important event will be selling the investment opportunities in Bahrain.
During the annual meeting, Trevor Stokes, CEO of American Express Middle East, also highlighted the American Chamber of Commerce's strategic objectives for the coming year.
One of them is to establish active committees formed to contribute to labour reform, banking, and other key industries in the kingdom. The chamber also indicated that it would like to increase its active memberships.
