Wednesday (Jun 25) Film – Madison on Star Movies at 8.30pm. In this true story set in 1971, Jim McCormick (James Caviezel) has always dreamed of racing his hydroplane boat, Miss Madison. He gets his chance when his Indiana town hosts the Gold Cup race, but competing requires a lot of money – which he doesn’t have. Jim needs the town’s support to pull off a victory.

Baltimore fire-fighter Jack Morrison (Joaquin Phoenix) is making the transition from inexperienced rookie to seasoned veteran. As he struggles to cope with a demanding job, he relies on the support of his mentor and chief Mike Kennedy (John Travolta) and his second family, the men of the firehouse. When Jack becomes trapped in a fiery inferno, he reflects on his life, loves and family and waits for his fellow firemen to rescue him.

FRIDAY (Jun 27)

Film – Pathfinder on Star Movies at 8.30pm.

Set 500 years before Columbus reached America, a Viking child becomes the lone survivor of a shipwreck. Raised by the Native American Indians, the 10-year-old grows up to become a skilled hunter and warrior. Known to his tribe as Ghost (Karl Urban), the youngster tries to forget his past and embrace his new homeland. Fifteen years later, the Vikings return to America, determined to launch a savage attack to destroy the Native Indians.

SATURDAY (Jun 28)

Documentary –  GEO Sessions: Mickey Hart & Global Drum Project on NGA at 10pm.

Ex-Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart brings his band of international percussion superheroes to GeoSessions, mesmerising all who dare step in their path with intricate patterns of rhythm.

Each drummer talks about their different pathways to being a musician and the central role music plays in their lives and its influence on their view of the world.

SUNDAY (Jun 29)

Film – Chapter 27 on Super Movies at 9pm

Starring Lindsay Lohan and Jared Leto, Chapter 27 is a film based on the assassination of John Lennon. Jared Leto stars as Mark David Chapman, the killer and Lindsay Lohan plays a Lennon fan who happens to meet him a week before the shooting. An enthralling look into what it takes to murder an icon.

MONDAY (Jun 30)

Film – Amos & Andrew on Star Movies at 8.30pm.

When Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Andrew (Samuel L Jackson) – who happens to be black – is seen entering a resort mansion by a bigoted police chief (Dabney Coleman), the chief mistakenly assumes he is breaking in. Fearing Andrew has hostages, the chief calls out the cavalry. But the playwright actually owns the home. By the time the chief realises his mistake, it’s too late.

TUESDAY (July 1)

Film – Behind Enemy Lines on Star Movies at 8.30pm.

On a reconnaissance flight over eastern Europe, disillusioned naval pilot Chris Burnett (Owen Wilson) and his partner, Stackhouse (Gabriel Macht), take pictures of something they weren’t meant to see. When their plane is shot down and Stackhouse is captured then executed, Burnett struggles to survive in unfamiliar enemy territory with hundreds of enemy troops and cold-blooded killers on his heels.
