MORE than 300 guests, including members of Bahrain's Royal Family, attended a glittering fashion show titled 'Noon by Noor'.
The show was the brainchild of Shaikha Noor bint Rashid Al Khalifa, grand-daughter of Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and daughter of Interior Ministry Under-Secretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence, Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
It was staged at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel and Spa after months of planning and introduced the Noon by Noor fashion house, with its autumn/winter collection.
"Shaikha Noor was the creative mind and head designer behind the label," said one of the organisers.
"Her designs this season were inspired by the 1940s and 1950s look, mostly by the famous fashion icons Audrey Hepburn and Jackie Kennedy.
"She describes her ready-to-wear garments as chic, simple and contemporary, with a unique design element. The colour scheme ranges from soft natural tones to bold exotic colours."
The show was followed by an exclusive exhibition, where guests bought their favourite pieces from the collection.
