Thursday (July 3)¥Saudi Arabian DJ Baloo will perform at Level, located on the Club Seven complex of the Mishal Hotel. This is part of his summer residency in Level and he will be returning on August 7. Baloo's releases include "Don't You Ever Get" and "Cover Letter" and he has played in Amsterdam, Washington DC, Beirut, Dubai and Abu Dhabi and also appeared at the 2006 Winter Music Conference in Miami alongside Harley & Muscle and Gene Hunt. Friday (July 4)

¥ The Kannada Sangha Bahrain is hosting a Sambhrama cultural celebration to mark the visit of educationalist and philanthropist Dr D Veerendra Heggade at the Al Raja School auditorium.

A colourful traditional dance drama 'Yakshagana' presentation will start at 5pm. Dr Heggade received the prestigious Padma Bhushan award for his commitment to social work and communal harmony.

The event will feature songs, folk dances, classical dance-form Bharatanatyam and a ballet presented by Sangha artists. Other performers include Baayaru Ramesh Shetty, Subraya Holla and Chandrashekhar Dharmasthala.

Sunday (July 6)

¥ A Summer Career Camp is being organised by Career Expo from today until July 17 at the Bahrain Training Institute.

It is targeted at male and female students currently in their second year of high school. The camp will accommodate 30 girls in the first week and 30 boys in the following week. Activities will comprise a number of workshops related to career guidance and counseling with a focus on necessary professional skills, along with various field visits which aim to acquaint the students with available options in the job market.

Students can take personality tests and other diagnostics. Career Expo 2008 is scheduled from October 21-23 at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre and will welcome Bahraini secondary students, vocational students, jobseekers, parents, and the community at large.
