Bahrain's $50 million Lost Paradise of Dilmun, the Middle East's largest water theme park, opened in September 2007.
Set in 77,000 square metres of desert oasis, Lost Paradise features 14 of the fastest, newest slides, pools and fountains.
Taking its theme from Bahrain's rich cultural heritage (the kingdom was the centre of the ancient Dilmun empire more than 5,000 years ago) Lost Paradise and the adjacent five-star Banyan Tree Desert Spa and Resort are the first components in the $1.3 billion Al Areen Development.
l The Lost Paradise of Dilmun Water Park has launched a new Ladies Night for all female guests and children 10 years and under.
These evenings will be offered every Thursday through the summer from 7pm to 11pm. All females over 1.2 metres in height can enjoy the park for BD10 while all children under 1.2 metres in height can enjoy the regular entrance fee of BD5.
l The water park is helping to keep the air fresh and pure for all guests by enforcing a non-smoking policy targeted at keeping the water park as environmentally and family friendly as possible.
The policy is contributing to improving the atmosphere for all of park's guests by restricting smoking to designated areas located in three areas around the park.
