Series - After Life (Series two) on BBC Prime at 10pm.

A chilling psychological drama that enters the world of the dead to answer questions about the living. In the terrifying and emotional climax to the first series, Alison (Lesley Sharp) collapsed and nearly died during a sŽance in which she was inhabited by the spirit of Robert's dead son. Now on the road to recovery, Alison has to accept that the spirits she has seen since she was a child will never leave her. Determined that her life should not be dictated by the dead, she wants to use her gift to help the living.

SATURDAY (July 12)

Comedy - Saturday Night Live, guest starring Jon Bon Jovi and The Foo Fighters, on Super Comedy at 11pm.

This Emmy Award-winning late-night comedy showcase is full of laughs, surprises and great performances from some of your favourite comedians today, including Will Farrell, Tina Fey, Adam Sandler and Mike Myers. At the close of the century, "Saturday Night Live" placed seventh on Entertainment Weekly's list of the Top 100 Entertainers of the past 50 years.

SUNDAY (July 13)

Series - Women's Murder Club on America Plus at 8pm.

Based on author James Patterson's (a favourite of mine) bestselling novels, this is a new one-hour drama series about four successful working women in San Francisco who use their expertise, their close friendship and their instincts to solve murder cases. Each a success in her own field, they work together to uncover clues to the city's most grisly homicides.

MONDAY (July 14)

Film - Corky Romano on Star Movies at 8.30pm.

Chris Kattan is Corky Romano, a goofy misfit vetenary, rejected by his powerful crime family for being too normal. But life takes an unexpected turn when he receives a call from his father who is being indicted by a grand jury and he is sent undercover into the FBI to try and steal all the evidence in the case. But things don't go too smoothly when, thanks to his falsified resume, he is mistaken for a super-agent and is forced to engage in top-secret missions while simultaneously trying to keep his father out of jail.

TUESDAY (July 15)

Documentary - Lockdown lll: Tent City on NGC at 10pm.

Inmates are held in outdoor pens separated from the desert elements - that swing between 130 degrees in the summer to well below freezing during the winter - by only their Korean War-era group tents. The country prides itself on keeping jail costs low, conditions primitive and making inmates labour for their care and feeding in the nation's only chain gang.
