I want to take a couple of minutes for a little somethin' for us girlie girls and to give credit, where credit's due, in the personal grooming department.
It's no secret to my long-time readers that I have a thing about nice nails and when I discovered Megan at Head 2 Toe last year I was ecstatic because trying to find a decent nail technician in Bahrain had proved near impossible.
She always made sure my nails looked as close to real as acrylic can be and, so when I heard a few months later that she was moving on to pastures new I was gutted.
For two or three months I had one nail disaster after another, bouncing from nail salon to nail salon in the hopes of finding someone new who could do half as good a job ... until Head 2 Toe's bubbly manager Chris recruited Megan's replacement.
I have to say kudos to Chris because rather than just finding any old semi-decent replacement just to keep the customers coming, she knew that her discerning regulars (and in my case pernickety and exacting) needed another Megan to keep us smiling.
And she picked another winner in Stevie, who after managing to give me strong and thin-looking nails, most definitely has my seal of approval!
No lifting or breaking and for the first time in living history I haven't needed to make adjustments when I get home ... Thank you Stevie!
