UNITED Bank Limited (UBL)_is gearing up for its 30th year in business in Bahrain having come to the Gulf just 10 years after it was founded.
UBL was incorporated in Pakistan in 1959 and is the third largest bank in the country.
It operates 1,078 branches in Pakistan, and 17 outside Pakistan along with a chain of subsidiaries and representative offices round the world.
The domestic branch network also includes five Islamic banking branches.
The bank has four business segments, including corporate banking, trading and sales, retail banking and commercial banking.
UBL started its operations in Bahrain on March 21, 1969, and currently the Bahrain operation consists of three branches located in Manama, Seef and Muharraq.
In its strategy to reach customers and provide better and efficient services the bank has successfully installed three offsite ATMs at BDF Super Market Riffa, Lulu Hyper Market Dana Mall and Gulf Air Head office Muharraq.
UBL also plans to instal three more ATMs at National Guards Head Quarters, Lulu Hyper Market at Riffa and a drive-in ATM opposite ALBA main office adjacent to the AMA Steel fabrication factory.
