Dear Betsy,I want to buy some really glitzy, high heels for a special occasion but don't want to pay designer prices. Any ideas?

Dear K.L.
As a self-confessed shoe-aholic I can certainly identify with your dilemma!
Thank goodness the City Centre Mall has opened and we shoe junkies can get our fix without breaking the bank.
Check out Faith, New Look and Peacock's who all have great fashion footwear at fab prices.
If you are feeling a bit more flush, then Dune and Nine West can really whet a girl's appetite.
Mega high stilletoes and platforms are IN IN IN this season, as are sequins and sparkles so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding what you want.
Matching clutch bags are the thing for evening and if you can't find the perfect match, then buy a cheapo clutch bag and take it to the tailor who will use the frame to make you a matching bag in duchesse satin or sequinned satin for a few dinars.
Now, who is going to open up a branch of Barratt's Shoes in Bahrain? I just don't know how they do that high fashion quality for those prices so all you fashion savvy entrepreneurs out there, here is your next big business idea.

If nothing else you would make our editor happy, rumour has it he has a real shoe fetish. (Hey Stan, when are you giving me my pink satin stilettos back?)
Editor's note: Betsy, be careful about the secrets you let spill, you could put your foot in it.
BETSY SAYS RELAX
Make family time a priority this Eid, and make it meaningful time. When was the last time you really listened to your loved ones? Do you honestly know what makes them happy, sad, or irritated? Do you know what their wishes and dreams are? Do they know yours?
You might think you know, but having a 'family interview' session where you all get to ask each other six important questions could be very enlightening for all of you - and you stand to strengthen your love and respect for each other. Apart from anything else, Eid holidays can be an expensive time and this is potentially a 'free' family activity!
