Fans will be able to watch the V8 action on the track on screens in the vending area for the first time in BIC history throughout the Desert 400 race weekend.

As the Bahrain International Circuit prepares to celebrate its third hosting of the Australian festival, it is also gearing up to a thrilling Desert 400 V8 Supercars action, packed with family entertainment and excitement for every visitor and fan making their way to BIC from November 6-8.

Chief operating officer Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa highlighted that this would be the first time in BIC history that a screen would be added to the vending area to showcase the live action on the track. He added that with the increasing number of motorsport fans attending, as well as the increased entertainment available to visitors, the decision to instal the screen will make sure fans do not miss a moment of the action.

To add to the excitement all those under 18 will get in free throughout the weekend to enjoy an array of games and activities.

Shaikh Salman stressed that BIC has always made it its mission to provide entertainment and excitement to all fans at all events especially the Desert 400 V8 Supercars race. He added that this year will see many more activities and races lined up alongside the Desert 400 event.

Amongst these will be the final round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia - for the first time at the BIC, the Radical Cup and the Batelco 2000CC Challenge.

Throughout the three days, Kart Zone will be open to give fans the chance to buckle up and try their hand on the newly-modified kart track. Sporting a facelift, juniors and adults will be able to race side-by-side on the wider track which now boasts more turns and longer straights.

For the little ones, the kids' play area will be open for all, while there will also be clowns-on-stilts, giant kangaroos, face painting, bouncy castles and much more.

Music will also be played throughout the three days.

Tickets for the event are now on sale. All under 18s will get in free whilst tickets cost BD10 for adults. For more information, contact the BIC hotline on 17450000 or visit www.bahraingp.com.

There will also be a range of other prizes and their special weekend will be featured in GulfWeekly.

Tomorrow is the closing date for entries, so if you think YOU are the young reader for the task simply send an email to editor@gulfweekly.com telling us why you would make a great V8 Junior Ambassador.
