Bahrain International Golf Company chairman Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa inaugurated the Royal Golf Club's new membership sales office at the Country Mall in Budaiya.
"I am delighted to officially open this office and we look forward to receiving a large number of visitors to it," said Shaikh Rashid at the ceremony. "Everyone involved with the fabulous new Royal Golf Club at Riffa Views is very excited now that the course is nearing completion. I am sure that many golfers will be eager to take up membership immediately so that they can start enjoying the course as soon as possible."
"I am pleased to confirm that golfers can now purchase 2009 membership for the new Royal Golf Club," said Pennie Nixon, the club's director of sales and marketing.
"We are receiving large numbers of membership enquiries every day and have organised this office so that we can provide a dedicated and efficient service for everyone. While membership will not officially come into effect until January 1, golfers signing up prior to that will be able to take part in a number of select competitions being held at the tail end of this year."
The 18-hole Championship golf course at the Royal Golf Club will be opened by course designer and golfing legend Colin Montgomerie on November 13.
The new membership sales office is located on the first floor of Country Mall on Budaiya Road and is open between 10am and 6pm from Saturday to Thursday.
