Make an appointment with a therapist for celebrities in a brand new comedy from Saturday on Showtime.
Dr Elizabeth Goode (Alexandra Wentworth) is a therapist for movie stars and celebrities in Nutcase, an original half-hour brand new comedy series to Showcomedy with a unique twist on psychotherapy. Her methods are unconventional and her patients are game for the ride. The doctor is in... Nutcase is out there and premieres on Saturday at 8.30pm.
The premise of the show is that Dr Goode is a psychologist to the stars, though in many cases, she's not really aware of that fact. Many of her clients are former child stars or other 'Hollywood misfits', and her days are filled with a 'who's who' client list from the world of entertainment, sports and music, even while leaving ample time for shopping. Emmy nominated veteran comedian Steve Landesberg stars as Goode's office partner Dr Myron Finkelstein.
Dr Goode lives in the Beverly Hilton Hotel and constantly gossips about all her clients to anyone she can find. Her methodology is somewhat bizarre; she is very brash and judgmental but is undoubtedly thriving as the newest 'it' therapist to the Hollywood oddballs. Although her method at times is a little, shall we say, off kilter, they always wind up returning for another session.
Special guest stars making an appearance on the couch this season include Jeff Goldblum, David Alan Grier, Ralph Macchio, Joel Madden, Alanis Morissette, Jason Priestly, and Rosanna Arquette among others.
