In late 2003 Leisure Capital Group (LCG) began researching the Koh Samui resort property market in Thailand for suitable sites to develop a membership club project known as 'The Owners Club'.

The developer markets and operates exclusive private business, recreation clubs, executive apartments and resorts in Asia. Its management team boasts more than 20 years experience with more than 50 projects to its name.

The company has a vision of developing 'member owned' unique and exciting resorts, where families can enjoy affordable holidays without large capital investment.

The Owners Club also plans out to provide a unique 'cost effective alternative' to conventional second home ownership.

Membership offers an actual share of the land and buildings on the site which includes luxury villas and common amenities such as a restaurant, tennis courts, swimming pools, fitness and other amenities including full concierge and maid service.

On offer is a resort/club experience in a private two or three bedroom luxury, fully furnished vacation villa but with the cost of membership only a fraction of the cost of owning a single vacation home - minus the expense and hassle of owning and maintaining a conventional second home. Investors planning to purchase property in Koh Samui can now look into the two luxurious developments at Ban Taling Ngam and Choeng Mon.

The development located at Baan Taling Ngan on the southwest coast of the island covers a total area of 91,200 sq m. The site has a 340m water frontage and is elevated with extensive 180 degree views from most locations on the property.

The property is approximately midway (8km in each direction) between the Le Meridien Hotel and Crescent Bay, which is a headland on which several exclusive villas are being built. Access to the property is by way of a 1km road from the public road. The plan being prepared involves the construction of approximately 44 luxury two and three bedroom villas to be built in six clusters. Each villa will have extensive sea views with its own plunge pool, sala (lounge) and private garden.

Residents will have direct access to the beach and the club's common facilities which will include a car park, reception, management office, restaurant and bar, tennis courts and communal swimming pools.

The development located in Choeng Mon, on the northwestern side of the island, covers a total area of 60,800 sq m in the sheltered western tip of the peninsula. The site has a 200m water frontage and is elevated with extensive 180 degree views from most locations on the property.

The property is approximately 10 miles from the airport and just short two miles from the Evason Resort and Spa. Access to the property is by way of a sealed public road which runs through the property.

The plan being prepared involves the construction of approximately 40 luxury two and three bedroom villas on the "Front Block" and 14 villas on the rear of the property. Each villa will have wide-ranging sea views with its own plunge pool, sala (lounge) and private garden.

Once again, residents will have direct access to the beach and the club's common facilities which will include car park, reception, management office, restaurant and bar, tennis courts and communal swimming pools.
